I was lucky enough to be able to get some shots of a frequent visitor to our local park.
I've never been able to get close enough to shoot, and there just isn't enough zoom on my little point and shoot to get it from very far away.
On this day however, the heron was close to the edge of the Lily Pond in Mill Creek and I only had to go about knee deep in the water to get some photographs.
